Suicide Lifeline

If a celebrity commits suicide, the news offers non-stop coverage. Yet the fact is that many, many people of all ages commit suicide every day. Some seek help and don’t get it in time. Some seek help but give up before they find the right solution. Some seek help yet are prescribed too many medications at one time. Some have no support while they’re seeking help, and they can’t handle it alone. Others are too proud or too afraid to admit that they need help. Whatever the case, suicide is far too common.  According to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, in 2011, someone from the U.S. died from suicide every 13.3 minutes, ranking suicide as the 10th leading cause of death for Americans. Please call 1-800-273-TALK to reach the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. The link to their site is http://www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org/
